THE SOCK FELL FROM THE BAG

AND THE RAIN FROM THE SKY

THE DEW CAME LIKE A GHOST

IT WAS THE DEW   THE RAIN

THE SOLITARY ARTIST

WHO MADE THE SOCK A FISH

WHILE THINKING ABOUT THE OTHER

LONELY SOCK IN THE BAG

THAT COULD NEVER BE A FISH

THAT WOULD NEVER BE MORE

THAN A SOCK IN THE TRASH

The Other Sock is a fish sculpture made of found objects...mainly a sock.  JAVA was inspired to write about the sculpture one day after finding an interesting shaped sock and wondering what had happened to its mate.
